Riftbound Radiance: Release Date, New Mechanics and Product Guide
Riftbound's fifth set puts music and performance in the spotlight. Get to know Radiance's new mechanics and the differences between its product formats.
Riftbound Radiance brings a musical theme to the League of Legends trading card game, with champions including Ekko, Evelynn and Seraphine among its featured names. As Riftbound's fifth set, it adds new cards and gameplay tools for players exploring their next deck, alongside different product formats for opening packs or playing with preconstructed decks. [1]
If you are deciding where to start, the useful distinction is what you want to do: explore randomized boosters, play a prepared matchup, or combine packs with storage and Runes.
Riftbound Radiance release date
Riot lists 23 October 2026 as Radiance's release date, with English, French and Chinese releases. Its updated official overview places the Pre-Rift window on 16–22 October 2026. These are publisher dates; a shop's event schedule, product language and collection or dispatch arrangements should be checked separately. [2]
Three new mechanics: Deploy, Disarm and Show Off
Radiance introduces three keywords, explained in Riot's core rules update effective 16 October 2026. [3]
Deploy appears on gear that can be played to a battlefield, including one occupied by an opponent. That gear is killed when an opponent holds its battlefield. It makes the location of the gear an important part of its use.
Disarm triggers the first time a unit attacks in each combat, reducing an enemy unit's Might at that battlefield for the turn. The amount follows the unit's Disarm value; multiple instances combine.
Show Off asks you to reveal a qualifying card from your hand or select a qualifying friendly object on the board. Characteristics referenced by the effect are fixed when that object is shown off.
These summaries are a starting point. Consult the official patch notes for detailed interactions, especially when combining new effects with older cards.
Radiance booster displays, Showdown Decks and the Vault
The product names describe different ways to approach the set:
| Product | Confirmed details | A useful option when… |
|---|---|---|
| Booster display | 24 booster packs, with 14 cards per pack. [1] | You want to open packs and explore the set's cards. |
| Evelynn vs Seraphine Showdown Decks | Two 56-card preconstructed decks, with paper playmats and a rulebook among the listed contents. [4] | You prefer starting with prepared decks rather than building entirely from boosters. |
| Radiance Vault | Storage box, six Radiance booster packs, foil tokens and 36 Runes. [2] | You want packs together with storage and supporting game pieces. |
Check the individual listing before ordering: a loose booster, a display and a deck product are different purchases.
Alternate artwork and Ultimate Rare cards
The official overview highlights music-themed showcase treatments, including K/DA Special cards and Heartsteel Overnumber variants. Radiance also contains Riftbound's second Ultimate Rare. Riot explicitly states that an Ultimate Rare is not guaranteed in any pack, box or case. [2]
Choose a product for the experience and contents you want, rather than treating a particular pull as assured.
Trying Radiance at a Pre-Rift
Riot describes Pre-Rifts as casual Sealed events: participants open the supplied cards, build a deck and play. Its Radiance guidance sets a minimum 25-card Main Deck and permits up to three domains, with specific exceptions and construction rules explained in the event guide. You do not bring an existing constructed deck to use as your Sealed deck. [5]
For Singapore players, check the organiser's actual event details before making plans. To explore the store's current listings, visit Tavern Games' Riftbound collection and check the selected product's language, availability and fulfilment information.
