Disney Lorcana Hyperia City: Release Date, Ink Drops and Product Guide

Hyperia City brings Coco glimmers and an urban setting to Disney Lorcana. Learn how ink drops and Adventurous work, and explore the set's products.

Disney Lorcana Hyperia City takes Illumineers into a city of street performances, shops and nightlife. It introduces glimmers from Disney and Pixar's Coco, while a new resource called ink drops adds another way to pay ink costs. [1]

For players and collectors, the set offers several different points of interest: new characters, a resource mechanic, and artwork that shows the city by day and after dark.

Hyperia City release date

Ravensburger lists 16 October 2026 for Hyperia City's prerelease and 23 October 2026 for its wider release. These are the publisher's announced dates. Check an individual shop's listing or event page for its actual product availability and arrangements. [1]

Coco comes to Disney Lorcana

Hyperia City's setting gives Coco's music a place in Lorcana. The official product page features Miguel Rivera, Héctor Rivera and Ernesto de la Cruz, with the Rivera family's performances forming part of the city's character. [2]

The announcement also introduces districts such as the Marigold District and a research academy where Big Hero 6 glimmers investigate ink-drop technology. Rather than treating the city as a single backdrop, the set connects different neighbourhoods with different characters and activities. [1]

How ink drops work

Ink drops are counters, not cards. Even a printed ink-drop representation is not shuffled into your deck. You receive them when a card or ability instructs you to, and each can be removed to pay one ink toward an ink cost. [3]

You can combine ink drops with ordinary ink cards to pay a cost, or use ink drops alone. Unlike an ink card that you exert, an ink drop is removed when spent. [3]

Ravensburger's separate design explanation also discusses saving drops for later turns. They are a resource to manage, rather than something that automatically disappears at the end of the turn. [4]

For deckbuilding, the useful questions are which cards generate them, when you want to spend them, and what your other cards do with that resource. Those decisions depend on your deck; a new mechanic alone does not establish which strategy will be strongest.

Adventurous joins the keyword lineup

Hyperia City also introduces Adventurous. A character with this keyword cannot challenge and must quest each turn if able. Mickey Mouse — Best in Town is an example in the official release notes. [3]

That condition is worth reading carefully: “if able” still matters. For card-specific interactions, use the set release notes and current Comprehensive Rules rather than assuming the keyword overrides every other restriction.

Artwork for the city after dark

In Ravensburger's creative spotlight, Art Director Liz Richards explains the contrast between the set's largely daytime scenes and its nighttime Enchanted artwork. Lighting, colour and character activities help give the city a different feel after dark. [5]

The two announced Iconic cards are Mickey Mouse — Best in Town and Cinderella — Unintentional Icon. [1] If you collect for artwork or favourite characters, the official gallery is a useful place to compare treatments before deciding what to pursue.

Hyperia City products

The official set page lists booster packs, booster display boxes, an Illumineer's Trove and prerelease boxes. The Trove includes eight booster packs and six damage dice, together with a full-art box. [2]

The separate prerelease guide lists six packs, four damage dice, a random promo card and a town map among the prerelease box's contents. [6] Check the exact product description rather than treating the prerelease box, Trove and booster display as interchangeable.
